Mesotherapy is a treatment that is very effective for a multitude of painful musculoskeletal conditions, especially injured or sore backs. During a mesotherapy treatment, pain relieving medications are injected into the mesoderm, or middle layer of skin. The injections are performed with extremely small needles that penetrate the mesoderm only four to six millimeters, or less than one quarter of an inch.

Using this method, the medications are delivered directly into the affected area and provide relief by reversing the pain and spasm cycle. Depending on the condition being treated, mesotherapy may be performed once or in a series of treatments and is particularly effective when used in conjunction with shockwave therapy.
